Supporting Those Who Protect Us

Cambridge’s firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and other 911 dispatchers keep our streets safe and our families secure, yet too many are priced out of the very city they serve. I’m in support for a Geographic Pay (GEO Pay) boost that reflects Cambridge’s real-world cost of living, so first responders can afford to live here, raise their kids here, and stay deeply connected to the neighborhoods they protect.

When first responders live in our community, response times drop, local knowledge grows, and trust between residents and public-safety professionals thrives. GEO Pay means offering salary adjustments tied to housing and transportation costs, making it realistic for public servants to put down roots in Cambridge. It’s a straightforward investment that strengthens public safety, builds community resilience, and says, “If you dedicate your career to us, we’ll make sure you can call Cambridge home.”

I’m committed to partnering with city leadership to make GEO Pay a reality, because the people who keep us safe should be able to call the place they serve home. Let’s ensure those who serve our city can live in our city.
