Hi Stranger…

Before I launched my website, I had a goal in mind: talk to 100 strangers in the city and find out what mattered to them. I used a lot of methods, from random nextdoor or social media DMs, to LinkedIn requests, even going up to people I had never seen before on the street and asking them questions. Although the way I asked them and the number of questions varied, there was always ONE theme: “What do you think about the city and what are some ways you want to see it improved?”

The range of responses varied, a LOT. Quite often, there would be topics two people would feel very differently on, most notably the issues related to bikes and cars. I had the opportunity to see into the lives of people from all backgrounds, from new immigrants to fourth-generation Cantabrigians. I gained a lot of insights from these conversations; if you were one of them, thank you, if not, I hope to talk to you soon! This was the start of my campaign story, but there are a lot more chapters to come, and I hope you are here for the ride.
